Turn raw recordings into clips, fast.

qlipq watches your capture folders, queues every new recording, and gives you a focused editor to trim, crop, pick audio tracks, and export — all powered by FFmpeg.

📂 Folder watching

Point qlipq at one or more folders. New recordings appear in the queue automatically.

✂️ Trim & crop

Scrub the timeline, set in/out points, and crop the frame — no timeline scrubbing in a NLE.

🎚️ Audio tracks

Keep desktop, mute the mic, or rebalance levels per track before you export.

🏷️ Smart renaming

Rename recordings with templates that read the date and game from OBS filenames.

⚡ FFmpeg exports

Stream-copy when possible for instant trims, or re-encode when you crop or adjust audio.

🔭 Highlights (soon)

A future local AI pass will scan clips and surface likely highlights for you.

How it works

  1. Record gameplay with OBS (we recommend the replay buffer).
  2. qlipq adds each new file to the queue with its date and game parsed from the name.
  3. Open a clip, trim and crop it, choose audio tracks, and export to your output folder.
